Welcome to Islamic Relief Scottish Volunteers
Islamic Relief is dedicated to alleviating the poverty and suffering of the world’s poorest people. We respond to disasters and emergencies and promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender. But none of this is possible without the help and support of the backbone of this aid agency: our volunteers and donors.
To date Islamic Relief in Scotland has enjoyed the luxury of a dedicated team of volunteers and donors who work tirelessly and give selflessly to help us deliver humanitarian aid to the people who are most in need around the world. This site is dedicated to the hard work of Islamic Relief volunteers who sacrifice their time, money and effort to help those less fortunate than themselves. Here you will find all the information you need about the work they are doing and how you too can help.
Throughout Scotland IR has branches of volunteers who operate at local level organising fundraising events and initiatives to help promote the work of IR and raise awareness of the issues it tackles in terms of delivering humanitarian aid to people in the poorest parts of the world. You will also find a discussion forum where you can share your experiences and knowledge of working with IR and find out all you need to know about being a volunteer.
