Volunteers remind Public of World Refugee Day
With the Mela coinciding with World Refugee Day, Islamic Relief encouraged the public to remember the difficulties that millions of refugees face on a daily basis as well as add messages on a refugee banner. The messages will all be passed on to the refugees during future field trips
As well as raising awareness, funds were collected for our current Children’s campaign to support orphans and needy children around the world. We had a fantastic day and achieved our targets thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers;
Fareed, Mateen, Mona, Julie, Fahim, Asim, both Asifs, Michael, Adam, Nicola, Harris, Chloe, Samina, lesley,kaleigh,eilidh and all the young kids.
Also our kind donors who donated all in-king goods Super Asia, Sher Bros, United Cash n Carry, Bonny Pak, Flower scene, Singhaar, Ramzan Jewelers, Stalks and Stems, Flower Haven and Fones for U. Lastly due to the people of Glasgow.
Thanks to all these people, Islamic Relief will be able to put a smile on some young people’s faces that are not as privileged as us.
