Our Scottish volunteers are also ready to answer the call

During Ramadan, feeding people at the end of the fasting day represents a very rewarding and high spiritual act. For the last 25 years, Islamic Relief, with our supporters help, has been distributing family food parcels around the world to those who face food insecurity and hunger, which ensures that their burden is eased during the month of Ramadan.

Last Ramadan, our Scottish volunteers were also involved in fundraising through out Scotland. Approximately 650,000 people, including widows, orphans, the aged and people affected by natural disasters, in over 25 countries benefitted from our food parcels.

Naile Ahmeti is currently living with her husband and three children in Pristina, Kosovo. Due to poor health, her husband is only able to work occasionally, which means that the basic necessities such as food are not always available.

“This is second year, that Islamic Relief bring us food for Ramadan, and may God reward you”, says Naile, “This is helping me and my family a lot. This food package I take from you is enough for me, for nearly one month. One month I have no worry about food, and this is great help.”

This Ramadan you can also join our dedicated volunteers team and make a difference.
